The Haunted House is an interactive journey identifying the bones that make up the human skeleton and how they work together. Targeted towards 7 - 9 year olds studying the topic Moving and Growing unit 4A, Key Stage 2 of the National Curriculum.

The National Curriculum is a set of guidelines created by the government aimed to standardise education in England. It seeks to provide a concise requirement for learning for all pupils. Key Stage 2 is a period within the National Curriculum concerning children aged between 7 - 9 years old. This stage displays the programs of study, along with expected attainment targets that are relevant to the stage of development of the target group.

This application complies with the standards set by the National Grid for Learning and any information entered is only stored on the computer used.

'Bones and 'Harry' are virtual assistants who will guide your child through an interactive journey. By accompanying Harry and Bones to exciting places within the Haunted House such as the X-Ray room, the Gym, the Study, they will make the learning experience interesting and fun. While your child explores, they will learn about the Skeleton, Vertebrates, Invertebrates, Joints and Muscles. Once they have visited each room, they may take the main quiz. This consists of 7 randomised questions ensuring that your child has learnt from the experience.

There are additional worksheets available. These practical exercises are designed to supplement the lessons within this application whilst helping to promote collabrative learning.

The Administration page allows you the functionality to delete teams, access team data including names and quiz scores.

To enter the Administration page, type 'admin' into the team name box on the first page and click the enter button.

It is advisable to remember your team name so you don't have to start again every time!
